This was an accident....during serving the trains at night the breaks were deactivated. Probably she happened to touch the throttle when she were cleaning the area around the drivers seat...and she was new on the job, she probably went panic scared and acted irrational, she seemed to have pulled the emergency brakes in different places, but the brakes were inactivated. It is really tragic.

Yes, the persons that made people in the first century believe that Jesus would return in their lifetime were lying. Because he didn't arrive. Even if those persons believed that it would happen , it was still very deceptive. The consequenses for those who listened to it vere drastic.
But OK, if you don't like the word liers, you can call them fasle prophets that believed their own false prophecies.
Of course you can make i spin of it like Rutherford did after the big failure with the "millions" campaign and the 1925 failure. He stadedsomething like "it was anyhow a blessing, because it had a stimulating effect on the members preaching activity" (not an exact quote, I know, so in a way I'm probably a lier )

I think this is a good passage from the bible. It's from 1 Corinthians chapter 7:
"26 Because of the present crisis, I think that it is good for a man to remain as he is. 27 Are you pledged to a woman? Do not seek to be released. Are you free from such a commitment? Do not look for a wife. 28 But if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this.

Read i very carefully...Paul is really telling the gongregation not to have families, because the world was passing away. This was written some 1950,maybe 1960 years ago. The people that listened to Paul and gave up normal life was really fooled by a doomsday cult. Every person who have read these verses will know that the bible is plain bullshit. Don't be frightened by the bible.

I don't think he/she is trolling.........maybe he/she is just trying to do some wittnessing, In some way he/she seem to be interested in what we have to say. Change name has told us that he/she is not baptized, maybe this is some way for him/her to explore the XJV-community...and I think that's a good idea.

Yes, of course I hope you keep it going, I think it is a good survey, with well posed questions. I was just a bit surprized with some percentages. But, I do really think we can spot some tendencies among the JW-population.

Yes..but, how did you Cedars select the respondants? I think some figures are overestimated.....maybe the most loyal JW are less prone to participate in studies like yours? But I think it anyhow shows some interesting tendencies.

Jesus came invisibly in 1874 untill the the 1930's, when 1914 was re-introduced. I wonder how many now living JW's that are aware of that. I had no idea when I was a JW, in fact I learned this just some years ago.
But it is an interesting fact that the year 1914 was just a failure for a lot of years.

Anyone noticed a curiosity on the Memorial Invitation for 2013 ?
by EdenOne ini can't scan the memorial invitation for 2013, but i was looking at it today and noticed something curious on the front drawing.. we have jesus as the central figure of the composition.
to his right and bottom, a large crown, in colour, of shiny happy people of diverse origins.. separated from this by the figure of jesus, is another group, a much smaller one, on the left and as if ascending to the top, and grayed.. clearly portrayed in this group is the face of ct russell and apparently william tyndale.
but then, also sarah and abraham and other personalities of the ot seem to be represented there.
